The hotel is surrounded by its 7 hectares of Chianti Classico Gallo Nero vineyards, 3 hectares of olive groves, and 2 hectares of arable land and woodland. At an altitude of 450 meters above sea level, on soils composed of galestro and alberese, vines are cultivated predominantly with Sangiovese and complementary varieties such as Canaiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Trebbiano, and Malvasia. An excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced from approximately 300 olive trees.
Wine Shop "La Cantinetta"
La 'Cantinetta' is located in the heart of Castellina Vecchia, along the medieval Via delle Volte. Housed in an ancient cellar dating back to before the 1400s, it offers guided tastings of a selection of the best Chianti Classico, IGT, and Super Tuscan wines from the area, paired with typical local products and accompanied by seminars on the history of the region and the production techniques of Chianti Classico wine and extra virgin olive oil.
